Forearm bracelet - Textiles, Silver - India - 20th century

Big armlet made of a matching set of 5 pendants that are tied together and worn usually above the elbow. From Rajasthan, India. They were handmade using a traditional technique called "goli" or "gajre", small silver hollow balls which are not welded to the base but attached with a silver wire, giving them some slight movement.

The string is still the original one

Very good quality, high-grade silver.

From mid 20th Century.

The women in Rajasthan usually wear this sort of bracelets in pairs one on each arm or several on each arm, among many other bracelets and armlets, both flexible and rigid.
