Description from the seller
Florus sanctus this is an epitome of the entire history of sacred history, containing the deeds and wars of the people of God from the creation of the world up to Christ. Author: R.P. Mathaeo Boleran, a Narbonese, theologian of the Congregation of Christian Doctrine. Second edition. Paris: at Georgius Iosse, along Rue Jacob, under the sign of the Crowned Spine, 1668. Pp. (20), 192 (i.e., 194: pages 71-72 repeatedly renumbered); cm. 14 x 9. Fine copy, though with some signs of time: defects to the lower spine of the contemporary binding and to it throughout. Light natural foxing. Very rare work by the Narbonne theologian Mathieu Bolera, in which numerous moments of wars and historical events are treated under a religious light.
