Description of the work
In this work, I created compositions that seem architectural, while carrying an intuitive and emotional energy. One perceives an influence of informal abstraction, as well as a particular attention to visual balance and rhythm.
On the technical level, I mainly use acrylic on canvas, exploring layers, transparencies and overlaps. I work with free gestures and defined lines, often applied spontaneously, creating a tension between control and impulse. I employ strong chromatic contrasts — notably earthy tones, a deep black and touches of vibrant color — in order to guide the eye and provoke a visual impact. Texture also plays an essential role: I leave visible traces of the process, valuing the material and movement of the painting.
