The artist Giuliano Grittini (Corbetta 1951) is an Italian photographer, art printer and visual artist known for having invented the technique of "Cracker Art". This special technique involves the use of precious materials (such as gold and silver leaf) and the artist's direct manual interventions on prints or photographs. The image is "crumpled" or deconstructed and then reassembled, often with the addition of inscriptions, glitter and varnish, making each piece unique, unlike the serial productions typical of pop art.
