Giuliano Grittini's original 2017 mixed-media portrait Marilyn Monroe, 35 x 35 cm, 1 kg, in excellent condition, Italy.
Description from the seller
The artist Giuliano Grittini (Corbetta 1951) is an Italian photographer, art printer and visual artist known for inventing the technique of "Cracker Art." This special technique involves the use of precious materials (such as gold and silver leaf) and direct manual interventions by the author on prints or photographs. The image is "crumpled" or decomposed and then reassembled, often with added writings, glitter and varnish, making each piece unique, unlike the serial productions typical of Pop Art. In this artwork he portrays the portrait of actress Marilyn Monroe, a recurring muse in Warhol’s output from the late 1950s to the 1960s, with a mixed technique that incorporates photographic elements, text and an aged appearance, in a "Cracker Art" style that simulates a torn poster or a collage on paper. Signed at the bottom and with a back inscription "Opera mia Autentica." The lot will be carefully packed and shipped with partnered couriers. For this lot, shipments outside the European Community are not offered.
