Description:
We present in a single exclusive lot three superb inkwells produced by the historic silversmith Mario Preziosi, excellence of Italian craftsmanship. These objects represent the apex of late 20th-century writing culture, combining the solidity of noble metal with the sculptural transparency of crystal.
Features and History:
Manufactured between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, these pieces have come to us in impeccable New Old Stock (NOS) condition. They have never been inked nor displayed, preserving the original luster of 800 silver and the brilliance of the crystal, which at the time was hand-cut to guarantee superior prismatic reflections.
The Lot Includes:
Model "Contemporary Baroque": Lid with rich and detailed floral relief. A tribute to Italian goldsmithing tradition.
Model "Art Déco Revival": Lid with refined guilloché work of cross-lines, symbol of order and formal elegance.
