Pair of blue glazed ceramic bowls from the Rimini Blu series designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi in the 1960s, with incised geometric decoration and a 43130/920 Italy mark on the base, dimensions 11 cm high and 19 cm diameter, in good overall condition with documented rim chipping and signs of use.
Description from the seller
Pair of ceramic bowls from the famous “Rimini Blu” series, designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi in the 1960s.
Made in glazed terracotta with the typical hand-engraved decoration, they feature the characteristic geometric motifs of the series – vertical lines, speckling and crosses – which highlight the artisanal craftsmanship of the Montelupo workshop.
The two bowls belong to the same model and bear on the bottom the mark 43130/920 – Italy, useful for attribution and cataloging. The color rendering is intense and vibrant, with glaze variations that confer depth and movement to the surface.
Condition: good overall condition, with chips on the rim, clearly documented in the dedicated photos. Normal signs of use consistent with the piece’s age. No structural cracks, no restorations.
Dimensions:
Height 11 cm – Diameter 19 cm
Provenance: Italy, Bitossi, circa 1960.
Shipping: careful and protected packaging, with materials suitable for transporting ceramics.
