Eterna pocket watch with a burnished metal case from around 1850–1900, manual wind movement, 50 mm case diameter, 70 g, in good condition with visible wear and it is shipped insured and in working order.
Description from the seller
Eterna, now more commonly known as Eterna-Matic, in an old bronze-plated metal pocket watch.
You can observe the mechanism, a true Curio for aficionados, because Eterna has always been one of those very rare maisons that self-produced their watches in full, including the movement.
And this mechanism is extremely rare and very interesting, with beveled bridges and very good functioning.
It shows evident signs of use, especially the bronze patina of the metal on the rear part of the case, something quite common in bronze-plated metals, and clear scratches on the inner cover corresponding to the opening slot, but on the inside of the watch and therefore not visible.
The front part of the watch, the dial side, is in better-than-good condition, a couple of threadings visible but not too much and not compromising, and some superficial scratches on the glass, but we are talking about a watch that is about a Century and a half old.
Regarding operation, the watch runs well, but having not tested it over the long term it might require lubrication and cleaning to optimize performance, though it might not be necessary; as already mentioned, the watch runs well and starts immediately.
Extremely rare.
