Chair - Walnut

Folding chair model Savonarola with a crisscross frame in walnut wood.
The simply finished backrest can be removed, allowing the chair to fold flat. The armrests are also crafted in a sober knob-like form. The item dates from the mid-20th century.

The conditions are excellent as shown in the photos. In reality it has never been used, and any minor signs are simply the result of the inevitable passage of time.

The Savonarola chair derives from the Roman curial chair dating to around 1450 and was very common in Italian Renaissance furnishings. Unlike most models in circulation, this Savonarola specimen presents a deliberately more sober form. For this reason, in its rare and simple elegance, it better suits multiple styles of interior decor.
