Chess set - Hand-Cast African Folk Art - Brass

A truly unique and expressive chess set where folk-art storytelling meets refined craftsmanship.
The chess pieces are hand-cast in bronze/brass using the traditional lost-wax method, likely from the Ashanti/Akan region of West Africa. Each figure is sculpted with personality: villagers, musicians, elders, riders, and symbolic thatched houses used as the rooks. No two pieces are exactly alike — every figure has its own posture, gesture and charm.

A functional game — but equally a decorative statement piece for a living room, office, coffee table or studio.
The pieces vary between 4,5 and 6,5 cm.
