Description from the seller
McRedBull cone by XTC. Is one addiction worth another?
Reappropriation of a McDonald’s cone. This is not a McDonald’s cardboard cone; everything was created from plastics and the logo painted by XTC (no stickers). The glass dome is an integral part of the work.
Signed and numbered out of 15 below, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided. (The copy sent is not necessarily the one in the photo)
Carefully packaged and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in central France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that needed to be realized.
XTC describes himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the détournement (reappropriation) of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumer culture, making them clash with the world of luxury and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of plastics and sometimes mineral materials.
All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
