Artist XTC, title Caviar x Mc Do, a 2026 sculpture comprising a real 1000 g caviar box painted and varnished, mounted on a 10 mm black plexiglass base, hand-signed and numbered 3/4 EA on the base, with COA, made of steel, plastic and paper, originating from France, with dimensions 19 cm wide by 10 cm high by 16 cm deep, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
McDonald's Caviar Box with Torn Label in Trompe l'Oeil by XTC.
This is a real 1000g caviar box (it has been used and therefore bears some signs of normal wear) painted (not a sticker) and varnished, and of course, faux caviar!
The artwork is presented on a black 10 mm thick plexiglass base for a shiny, flawless finish.
Signed and numbered 8 + 4EA on the base, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
(The shipped piece is not necessarily the one in the photo.)
Careful packaging and tracked shipping.
Born in 1978 in central France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has evolved into a passion that was to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through bold staging of icons of popular consumption, which he makes clash with the worlds of luxury and Street Art, further blurring the already thin boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of plastics and, sometimes, mineral materials.
