Description from the seller

Elegant and iconic advertising poster “Cycles Sirius” signed S. Gray, an extraordinary example of early 20th-century French graphic design devoted to the world of cycling.

Note: This is a later edition, probably from the 1970s.

The image depicts an allegorical female figure in the Art Nouveau style, dynamic and sensual, suspended in an ascending movement while pointing to a bright star, a symbol of progress and modernity. The composition, on a dark background, highlights the contrast between deep black and the golden and ivory tones of the figure and the bicycle, creating a strong visual impact of great elegance.

At the top, the inscription “Cycles Sirius” appears, while at the bottom the address “14 & 16, Rue Duret, Paris” is shown, an element that lends historic charm and graphic authenticity to the original period subject.

A poster of strong decorative character, perfect for collectors of advertising posters, lovers of historic cycling, furnishings in industrial or retro style, and interiors with refined taste.
