Deontay "The Bronze Bomber" Wilder is the former WBC World Heavyweight Champion of the men.
Wilder held the heavyweight title from 2015 to 2020 and defended the belt ten times successfully. In 2015, Wilder became the first American heavyweight world champion since 2007, the longest period in which an American had not held the heavyweight title.
In 2020 Wilder lost the WBC belt in a rematch to Ring Magazine Champion Tyson Fury, after he had retained the belt in their first fight in 2018 via a draw. Wilder did not manage to reclaim the title from Fury through a KO defeat in a trilogy bout in 2021.
