Michiel Folkers, better known as Gieler (1982), began in the late 1990s as a graffiti artist in Amsterdam. He now works in his studio, but the rawness of the street remains visible in his art. His work travels the world and can be seen in galleries from Zurich to New York. Especially in the United States his work has been hugely popular in recent years and it hangs on the walls of several celebrities.
