Small 10 g fine gold bars as cast bars are a real rarity, as in this size almost only minted gold bars are offered.
The cast bars have a classic square cast bar design. Cast gold bars have the advantage over minted bars that the surface is less susceptible to scratches. A gold bar produced by the casting process can be safely held in the hand to feel the high specific weight of the 99.99% pure gold, without fear of damaging the bar or impairing it with fingerprints. Cast bars have, due to the manufacturing process, rounded edges and small solidification lines. This makes every Au bar a unique piece.
