Description from the seller
Digital painting of transmuted photography. (Inverted from positive to negative)
The skies I represent with an almost unreal aspect are not mere aesthetic choices; they are metaphors of the state of our environment and of the consequences that human intervention has caused. Each work aims to invite reflection, to question our impact and to imagine where we are headed if we do not recover the balance lost.
This set of works reflects on the fragile relationship between humanity and nature. Through powerful and highly contrasted images, I seek to capture a world where the atmosphere seems altered, restless, and transmuted.
Downtown urban scene from Manhattan Bridge. NY.
A novel photograph in which the mute is shown transformed and somehow inverted. The lights become shadows, the shadows become lights, the colors transform into their complements and magic arises. It is a transmuted photograph with the inverted positive that becomes what was once called negative, like silver halide films but greatly enhanced with a lot of digital painting work.
These city views are the magical result of extensive research and work both intellectual and manual with the computer. Recognizable urban landscape but totally transformed by means of light and color. A unique technique in the world, as far as I know.
Artwork around the world, in order of number of pieces and photographs:
Spain, Germany, Netherlands, USA, Italy, United Kingdom, France, Austria, Belgium, Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, Mexico, Luxembourg, Romania, Australia.
