Moldavite is a green, glassy mineral tektite formed by the impact of a meteorite about 14.7 million years ago. Due to the high pressure in its formation, it sometimes contains rounded bubble inclusions.

The impact created the so-called Ries Crater in Germany, with the vast majority of Moldavites falling in the Czech Republic.

In recent years their value has greatly increased, because they are very scarce and increasingly rare and difficult to find.
