Volume I: pp. (XVI), 1004, (XX). COMPLETE, with a frontispiece and many plates out of the text.
Volume II: pp. (VIII), 992, (XXIV). COMPLETE, with many plates out of the text, some of which are folded.
Copies with sheets in overall good condition, with the usual signs of use and time and some staining and damp spots.
Contemporary full leather bindings with gilt tooling and title labels on the spine plaques, a bit loose and with some wear but still fairly well preserved overall. Guard leaves in marbled paper. Red edges.
