Elisa Brindani - Dancing in the flames

"Dancing in the flames" is the title of this work, created while listening to the titular song by pop artist The Weeknd. Unlike the tension felt in the story sung by the Canadian artist, in my painting the female figure expresses calm and peace; the face is relaxed and, more than a dance, it seems a flight, you don't know if departure or arrival, surrounded by a yellow-orange swirl that echoes the colors of the flames. The wind of ascent (or descent) ruffles the hair that touches the dress, engaging with him. Created with oil paints on canvas, the black background, time and space absent, gives great prominence to the figure and the violent light that flood it without wound. The edges of the canvas are finished with an orange color that recalls the glow of the dress. A image of strong intensity.
