Description from the seller
British Art Nouveau cornet vase REGD in green glass on a silvered metalware base – circa 1900–1915, height 23 cm
British Art Nouveau cornet vase dating from the early 20th century, around 1900–1915.
This model consists of a pressed green glass vase, with geometric prism decoration and a wavy rim forming a floral corolla, mounted on a molded silvered metal base with stylized vegetal decoration.
The base is marked “REGD.” (Registered Design), indicating a formally registered design in the United Kingdom, characteristic of English productions of the period.
This type of object generally results from a collaboration between a Stourbridge glassworks (England) and a British metalware house.
Stylistically and technically, the mount can be attributed to the circle of Hukin & Heath or James Deakin & Sons
