Biography: Enzo SAN MARCO is a Franco-Italian painter and photographer born on September 10, 1992, in Bari. He pursued academic training in chromatics and the symbolism of forms at the Institute of Fine Arts in Foggia. Solo exhibitions in San Severo, San Giovanni Rotondo, and group exhibitions in Sorrento and Bari. He has been living in the south of France since 2024. For him, art, even when abstract, is above all a matter of composition, shapes, and colors, in their opposition and complementarity. Fascinated by Mondrian's artistic universe (primary colors), Kandinsky (forms), and Vermeer (composition), he studies the color wheel and believes that every shape or color has its own spirituality, and that their assembly, infinitely adjustable and in a random manner, would be like an alphanumeric code.
In each of his paintings, he strives to create a composition of shapes and complementary colors, giving movement while breaking lines. Behind the abstraction, symbolism is often hidden.
