Description from the seller
Oil painting on canvas by C. de Zeeuw, the pseudonym of A.C.W. Terhell. He lived and worked in, among other places, Bussum (circa 1885), The Hague (until 1943), Bennekom (1943–1944), Denekamp (1944), Enschede (1944–1945), Diepenheim (1945–1948), and then settled in Beverwijk.
Terhell was a painter and is mainly known for his watercolors, in which he primarily devoted himself to landscapes, shore and seascapes, and to a lesser extent cityscapes. He taught V. Leonhardt-Wirix and signed a large portion of his watercolors with “J. le Blanc.” His work is particularly known for its atmospheric representation of landscapes, cityscapes, and seascapes.

Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. The condition concerns only the artwork and not the frame.
