Splendid plaster bust of Hercules, made as a cast from ancient models from Neapolitan foundries. This tradition of producing models and molds of classical sculpture is historically rooted in the city of Naples, where specialized workshop-craftsmen reproduced classical works for collectors, museums and enthusiasts since the 19th century. 

The piece captures with strength and elegance the iconography of the famous mythical hero, making it a striking decorative element for private collections, art studies or environments with a classical inspiration.
• Conditions: Good, with natural signs of time consistent with the age and material.
• Material: Plaster
• Provenance: Cast based on ancient models produced by the historic Neapolitan foundries, which in the second half of the 19th century and in the 20th century created molds and replicas of classical and Renaissance sculptures for collectors and museums.
