THE WORK:
Café in Rome (2022) is a line etching on a copper plate (29 × 38 cm), manually printed by the artist himself on an Azañón T80 press. Limited edition of 20 numbered, signed and dated copies; this print is No. 8/20.
Made on 250 g Arte etching paper in a golden tone, it uses ultramarine blue ink, which adds depth and a contemporary character.
The work captures a daily scene in a Roman café: an elegant figure absorbed in their phone, reflecting our modern intimacy. The refined composition focuses the gaze on the gesture and the atmosphere, turning a real moment into an timeless and suggestive image.
