Mid-Century Modern ceiling lamp with geometric pattern – ca. 1960

A beautiful Mid-Century Modern ceiling lamp from the 1950s–1960s, with a characteristic design that fits perfectly within the optimistic aesthetics of the post-war period. The lamp combines a clean modern design with a subtly playful decoration and forms a particularly atmospheric object for any interior.

The lamp features a cylindrical shade of matte opal glass that distributes the light softly and evenly. Around the shade runs a striking geometric pattern of arrow-shaped motifs in green and pale gold. This decoration refers to the typical graphic patterns of Mid-Century design, in which rhythm, repetition, and color accents play an important role.

When the lamp is lit, the pattern comes beautifully to life. The opal glass provides a warm, diffuse illumination while the decoration subtly lights up, creating a particularly atmospheric effect.

The design aligns with the international Mid-Century Modern movement (ca. 1945–1970), in which simplicity, functionality, and graphic forms were central. In this period, lighting and interior objects were often produced with new glass and plastic techniques, allowing clean lines to be combined with decorative patterns.

The lamp has a compact shape and is therefore ideal for use in a hall, bedroom, kitchen, or as a stylish ceiling lamp in a vintage interior.
