Description from the seller
BIDDERS, READ THE ENTIRE ADVERTISEMENT WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION REGARDING THE STATED LIMIT AMOUNT AND THE SHIPPING RATES. THIS AVOIDS UNCERTAINTY AND CAN LEAD TO DISAPPOINTMENT FOR THE BUYER.
This John Letters (made in Scotland) golf set is unique of its kind because it is an original classic VINTAGE (circa 1980) golf set that has not sacrificed beauty or condition due to its age. The irons have steel shafts with a clubhead that is heavily chrome-plated. The original leather grips on the clubs are in excellent condition (the leather is not dried out). The three woods are traditionally handcrafted from Persimmon hardwood and are in very good condition (as are all parts of this set). In short, a very beautiful golf set.
A unique opportunity for collectors, other enthusiasts, and certainly also for shops that sell golf equipment (as a fine and eye-catching piece) to purchase this set.
But more importantly, with these golf clubs you can actually play golf. Your fellow players will look at your golf set with envious eyes.
The set is a heirloom from my Scottish grandparents who kept this set in the original tartan Scottish vintage golf bag after their mutual golf careers (as a display piece) in a corner of the living room in their house. The bag in which the golf clubs are photographed is included in the sale price.
The golf set can be picked up or shipped. The packaging and shipping costs (Registered and insured up to 500 euros) are borne by the BUYER and amount to a total of at least 40 euros. Catawiki REQUIRES that the shipping fields be filled in. As a result, the shipping costs may not match the actual shipping costs that the seller (as a minimum amount) has indicated! The buyer pays the actual shipping costs. Customs (import) duties are also the responsibility of the buyer.
Attention: the set is sold only to bidders within Europe. The seller reserves the right not to accept and not to deliver any bid lower than 300 euros.
P.S. An independent expert in vintage golf sets estimates the selling price at between 450 and 750 euros. Catawiki must accept the LIMIT amount of 300 euros so that you, as a potential buyer, are not disappointed by the fact that the seller has explicitly stated that the SELLING LIMIT is 300 EURO.
If Catawiki refuses to accept the buyer’s limit amount, thereby forcing the seller to not use a limit amount, THEN THE BLAME LIES WITH CATAWIKI AND NOT WITH THE SELLER.
