Description from the seller
Lalique, model “Dahlia”, dressing set in satin-molded-pressed glass, created in 1931
Refined and perfectly emblematic of René Lalique's decorative genius, this elegant dressing set in satin molded-pressed glass belongs to the famous Dahlia service, created in 1931. Each piece is adorned with a broad relief floral motif depicting a fully opened dahlia, with delicate modelling and a radiant composition, magnified by the subtle contrast between the satin surfaces and the polished details.
The presented set consists of five pieces: an atomizer, two bottles and two covered boxes, forming a particularly harmonious and decorative assembly.
By the perfect unity of its decor, the sculptural quality of its glass and the timeless purity of its line, this Dahlia set embodies with distinction the art of luxury toiletry according to Lalique and constitutes a very seductive testimony to French refinement of the 1930s.
