About the artist
It is first through photography that Sandra’s need to create reveals itself. By manipulating her images as a support and medium, she gives rise to works that balance between real and imaginary.
Fascinated by the artistic-direction possibilities offered by artificial intelligence, her approach remains instinctive and emotional. She guides and shapes AI as a material: choosing, mixing and kneading descriptions, keywords, iterations and parameters, until obtaining the exact shot of her own imagination.
Thus, if the photographer captures the present moment of a reality, Sandra—the IA-graphist—captures a moment of her imagination, transposed into reality by the generated image.
Her style is recognizable in the play she performs with blurred boundaries: between reality and imagination, between photography and IA-graphy, between masculine and feminine. Love, melancholy, identity and intimacy are at the heart of creations she presents with sensuality and lyricism.
