Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Antique solid oak wall mirror, with hand‑carved decorative motifs, dating to circa 1850–1900, external dimensions 60 × 40 cm, weight 6 kg, in good vintage condition.
Description from the seller
Beautiful antique wall mirror with rich hand-carved decoration, dating from circa 1880–1920.
This characterful mirror is made of solid wood (probably fruitwood, possibly cherry) and clearly shows artisanal craftsmanship.
The decorative elements, including the stylized faces and geometric motifs, are hand-carved and give the piece a distinctly folkloristic appearance.
The warm, deep color and visible grain create an authentic look. The wood has recently been treated with natural beeswax, which beautifully deepens the patina and brings the relief further to life.
The mirror has a classic architectural composition with pilasters and a graceful upper front, reminiscent of regional European folk art from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
