Sculpture in patinated bronze titled L'Elan by Adeline Weberguibal, a unique piece, signed, with dimensions 28 x 10 x 10 cm and weight 2 kg, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Adeline Weberguibal is a sculptor artist of Lorraine origin; she trained from workshop to workshop, initially engaging with ceramics and then with bronze, and finally with glass paste/crystal.
She has always lived in an artistic milieu and her materials of choice quickly became bronze and then glass paste. She works alternately with these two mediums, sometimes combining the two.
She divides her life between Provence and Brittany, where proximity to the sea gives her real creative energy.
Her workshop nestled in nature is inseparable from her works. For her a work of art is eternal, and it is the perpetual quest for that eternity that she pursues, by working movement and lightness on a raw material like bronze as well as fragility and evanescence with glass crystal.
Bronze and crystal are wonderful mediums for expressing her vision of the world...
Her work is essentially based on an expressionist vision of the world, expressionism being the art of emotion: beyond the work itself, she aims to describe the external world in a language more emotional than plastic. The surrounding nature is an inexhaustible crucible from which she draws her inspiration. Gesture and movement are the foundations of her work. She strives to convey this osmosis and this feeling, at times with bronze, which for her is synonymous with nobility and strength, and at times with crystal.
For her, freedom is essential to man, and she attempts to transcribe this absolute necessity in each of her creations.
