AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

MARTINI is a 70 x 100 cm painting by Flavia Delgado that celebrates elegance and the ritual of meeting through a clean, sophisticated composition. Two glasses rise in balance, becoming a symbol of complicity and a shared moment.

The scene, built with a classic poster aesthetic, stands out for its visual clarity and immediate impact. Olives suspended inside the glasses add dynamism and a subtle tension, while the elongated shadows reinforce depth and the play of light.

The chromatic contrast between the green background, the translucent tones of the glasses, and the red accents generates a vibrant harmony. The defined black outlines and the solid color planes consolidate the artist's characteristic pop language.

Beyond representation, the work suggests a moment: a pause, a conversation, a toast. The absence of human figures leaves room for interpretation, making the object the protagonist of the experience.

MARTINI is an elegant and direct image that transforms a everyday gesture into a symbol of style, encounter, and celebration.

Seller's Story

I present a pictorial work line strongly linked to illustration and artistic poster design. My works combine the language of classic poster art with the plastic freedom of contemporary painting: flat colors, defined contours, direct scenes, and a clear narrative sense. My work dialogues with the tradition of 20th-century poster art, especially with the universe of Art Deco and European and North American advertising posters, where authors like A. M.. Cassandre, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Leonetto Cappiello used synthetic imagery and color for visual impact. There are also affinities with European comic graphics and the clear line, from Hergé to modern editorial illustration. In my paintings, I depict interiors, architectures, figures, and travel scenes—such as roads, vintage cars, or landscapes—approached from a graphic perspective reminiscent of posters and illustrated books, but transferred to the realm of painting on paper and canvas. I aim for each image to function like a frame or a narrative poster, capable of suggesting a broader story without needing to explain it.
