Description from the seller
“Prendimi” is a work that openly plays with the theme of seduction, but it does so with a contemporary, essential, and direct visual language. The female figure, intentionally devoid of facial details, becomes a symbol more than a portrait: she is not a person, she is an idea.
The body is built with soft and synthetic lines, while the red drapery introduces visual and emotional tension, suggesting movement, intimacy, and provocation without ever being explicit. The red, absolute protagonist, stands out against a geometric and fragmented background, dominated by blues and grays, creating a strong and immediate chromatic contrast.
The background, almost abstract, evokes an urban or mental structure: blocks, spaces, interruptions. In this context, the figure emerges as a living, warm, human element, in contrast with the rigidity of the environment.
The brushstroke is free, instinctive, with an evident search for balance between control and spontaneity. Imperfections are not corrected, but integrated into the language of the work, making it authentic and vibrant.
***********
Self-taught artist, my work does not follow a fixed style, but evolves with time and experiences.
My painting is born from the observation of everyday life and from listening to emotions.
I address different themes and experiment with new languages, letting each work find its own form.
Mine is an instinctive, essential and imperfect art, tied to the complexity of the human being and of nature.
Art, for me, is not decoration but authentic and lived presence.
In 2015 and 2016 I was a finalist in the Sunday Painters competition promoted by La Stampa, among over 3,000 works selected.
The selections were curated by a qualified jury, with the presence of critic Francesco Bonami.
The finalists were presented in a review connected to Artissima – the Torino International Fair of Contemporary Art. In 2016 I received the Critics’ Prize.
