DAVID BRUSH -1979- (Madrid). "LIGHT BLUE XII" 2018 Mixed media on canvas Signed and dated on the back. Dimensions: 33 × 33 cm Abstract and neo-expressionist artwork in which the artist presents a canvas with a lively and dynamic image. Through the composition, a strong interest is shown in the qualities that the materials can offer and in their textures. A piece where the use of refined lines and a high intensity of color creates a pictorial atmosphere that appeals to the viewer and tells a compelling emotional story. A self-taught artist, David Brush began in the art world inspired by his daughter. His works are strongly influenced by artists such as Jackson Pollock (1912-1956), Karel Appel (1921-2006), Willem de Kooning (1904-1997), and Kazuo Shiraga (1924-2008). His first solo exhibition, “Feria de Colores,” was held in April 2018 in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid. That same year he received the Premio Revelación (breakout award), awarded by the Pro Art and Culture Group. David Brush is a rising talent as a new artist; many of his works are distributed around the world.
