With "The Original 151", SKE pays tribute to the founding generation that forever marked the history of Pokémon and the childhood of millions of collectors.
Around Sacha, several emblematic creatures from the Kanto universe unfold, gathered in an intense, vibrant, and instantly recognizable composition. Each character embodies a part of the collective memory linked to the first trades, the first cards, the first captures, and the unshakable fascination for the original Pokémon.
Through an energetic treatment, blending pop culture, street art accents, and graphic power, SKE turns this homage into a true generational manifesto. The work celebrates as much the Pokémon universe as what it represents: collecting, adventure, emotional connection, and pure nostalgia.
A powerful and ultra-evocative piece, conceived for collectors who are sensitive to the great icons of Japanese pop culture and to the mythical heritage of the 151 originals.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and a versatile creator who grew up immersed in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double meaning, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also received a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States, and Asia, strengthening his standing in the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend in recent years, increasing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and textural play characterize a style now essential.
SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Listed & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His linework conveys the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge the eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to reframe Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront a modern urban aesthetics akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates the icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and superheroes is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the style of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the aesthetic of “Hype”: the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This artwork is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
