AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

“Upgrade” – Limited edition of 100 copies - Number 04/100

Artist: SKE
300 g art paper – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included

In this work, SKE evolves Gaston: he has swapped his old taco for a yellow Porsche. An evident upscale move. Yet, one detail reveals his attachment to the past: he kept the same colors as his former car, like a nostalgic wink to his beginnings.

The success is there, the symbol is strong, but Gaston does not renounce anything. He moves forward without erasing what he was. Luxury becomes continuity, not a rupture. The object impresses, the character remains faithful to his laid-back, smiling spirit.

Through this reappropriation, SKE plays with the codes of social success and personal memory. Progress does not erase history; it prolongs it.

Pop bite, street energy, projections and splashes sign an artwork that is light, ironic, and deeply human.

A piece that reminds us that one can change course... without forgetting where you come from.

Characteristics:

• Limited edition of 100 copies
• Premium print on 300 g art paper
• ISO A3 format, ideal and easy to frame
• Signed and numbered copies by SKE
• Delivered with certificate of authenticity
• Protected shipping, reinforced packaging

“Upgrade” is a strong, narrative, and jubilant piece, perfect for lovers of contemporary pop culture, mashups, and offbeat art.

A rare edition not to miss.

- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up immersed in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meanings, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. He was awarded the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then elected “Revelation of the Year” at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” by Opulence gallery in October, and he also gained a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited at major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes his mark in the digital artworks market, a major trend of the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations among collectors.

Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play define a now-inescapable style.

SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to begin or enrich a collection with rising value.

Awarded & Renowned Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art

AN UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits within a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to rework Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer, The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.

POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.

LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar sign rubs shoulders with logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you’ll encounter the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes evoke the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.

This artwork is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior.
