The painting was created with a special and unusual technique. The artist uses no brushes for his art, applying the acrylic paint directly to the canvas by hand. The color is poured very thinly onto unprimed cotton fabric and massaged into the material. This allows the color to penetrate deeply into the fabric and you cannot see any brushstrokes. The artist repeats this process several times. The paintings consist of up to ten layers. This results in very fine color transitions and nuances that are difficult to reproduce accurately in photos.
