Description from the seller

Lot contains:

An authentic herbarium from the early 20th century, assembled by an unknown Dutch naturalist, presumably around the 1920s.
The herbarium is housed in the original folder with a decorative sleeve from publisher J.A. Sleeswijk (Bussum) and with the name K. Siderius, giving the whole a personal and documentary character.
The collection comprises:
9 small sheets (17 × 21 cm) with 9 plants
67 large sheets (20 × 32 cm) with 101 plants
Total: 110 botanical specimens
Most of the plants are carefully mounted and labeled with names in both Dutch and Latin, indicating a systematic, possibly educational or scientific approach.
Included species include, among others:
orchid (Platanthera bifolia)
dead nettle (Lamium album)
shepherd’s purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris)
daisy (Bellis perennis)
Some sheets contain handwritten notes and classifications.
A rare and atmospheric object that reflects the dedication and passion of an early collector.

Condition: good condition given the age, natural yellowing of the paper, traces of old mounting,
slight wear and aging signs

Total: 1
