AMA • Pope (1985) signs and presents 'Aurora Scam’Art', a 2025 resin piece in silver, 20 cm high, 9 cm wide and 9 cm deep, edition 1/20, made in France, sold direct by the artist, weight 195 g, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora Scam’Art" - 1/20
The piece “Aurora Scam’Art” does not seek to be art.
It seeks to sell itself.
A chromed figure with a mirror-like effect, shiny, seductive… designed to catch the eye instantly.
At its base: SCAM’ART.
On the sides: TRUST / ME.
Trust me. Buy.
Made in resin with a pearlescent reflective finish, the piece constantly plays with light. When off, it reflects a cold, almost clinical image. When activated, it becomes hypnotic: an immersive multicolored light that attracts, fascinates… and short-circuits any critical distance.
And that is precisely the subject.
“Aurora Scam’Art” is an unabashed satire of the art market: a universe where everything becomes a product, where codes trump substance, and where, under the pretext of an artistic approach, the objective remains the same — to sell.
Here, nothing is hidden.
Everything is written.
A provocative, lucid piece perfectly in step with its era.
Edition limited to 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered and delivered with AMA authenticity certificate.
Fast and careful shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper and reinforced carton) with signature on delivery.
Specifications:
- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (fixed, faded transitions, simple transitions)
- Electrical supply via USB cord with switch (included)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
A collector’s object that diverts censorship into art, and transforms the "Aurora Authentic Fake" into a true original.
Who is AMA?
Born from the fusion of French artist friends, the AMA collective draws you into its universe blending vibrant colors and varied materials.
Sculptures, paintings and installations, the collective passionately uses a multitude of techniques to bring its works to life.
The AMA collective mainly draws inspiration from the world around it but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat to name just a few.
Whether it’s a gift, a keepsake or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will surely find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, AMA channels its passion for urban art through street art and pop art (in limited or open editions) addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the evils of drugs, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, food industry and fashion products (sports, sneakers…).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, AMA likes to mischievously remix labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman…), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to evaluate the lot for sale is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos… After the sale, no unfounded complaints will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
