Description from the seller
Title: The High Priestess
Subtitle: Contemporary Arcana
Project: Contemporary Archetypes
Technique: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 30 × 42 cm
Finish: Final protective varnish
Signature: Signed work by the artist (Nush)
⸻
This artwork belongs to the project Contemporary Archetypes, an artistic research that explores the major arcana of the tarot, reinterpreting them in a contemporary key through a modern visual sensibility and a deeply symbolic painting language.
The High Priestess represents the archetype of inner knowledge, the threshold between the visible and the invisible.
It is not a knowledge on display, but guarded. Silent. Radical.
In this version, the image departs from traditional iconography to become a living presence: a direct, magnetic gaze that does not impose itself but draws you in. The figure emerges as a space of listening, a place where intuition precedes words.
This work is a sketch/preparatory study, part of a broader process.
The piece foreshadows a future large-format version, in which the theme will be developed further at the compositional and symbolic level.
Like every archetype, the High Priestess is not only an image, but a state.
An invitation to slow down, observe, and traverse.
Unique work.
⸻
Careful and trackable shipping.
⸻
Ideal for collectors of contemporary art and pop culture, perfect for modern interiors and spaces with a strong visual character.
Final protective varnish,
Certificate of authenticity
Shipped in a tube
