Description from the seller

Cornelis Guillaume van Beverloo - Corneille (1922-2010)

This is an original poster for the publication of Marcel Paquet's book La Sensualité du Sensible from 1988. With a composition as we know from Corneille, featuring a red female nude, a blue bird and a green cat. The book by Marcel Paquet for which this poster was made was published by Francis Delille in Paris and appeared in the Philosophie des Arts collection. The image Corneille used for this poster is also known as "Femme Rouge" or more fully as "Femme Rouge, oiseau bleu et chat vert".

Poster size is 70 x 65 cm. (approx. 27.5 x 25.5 inches).

Corneille was a very well-known Dutch painter and one of the founders of the Cobra group. A movement of artists from Copenhagen, Brussels and Amsterdam (COBRA). Many artists from this group gained major international recognition, such as Pierre Alechinsky, Asger Jorn, Corneille, Karel Appel and Constant.

The poster is not folded and in very good condition. See the condition also in the photos. Poster with gorgeous design and therefore very nice to frame.
