Biography: JonOne (Franco-American, born in 1963 in New York), famous for graffiti-influenced works, was born in the Harlem neighborhood, where the art of colorful and elaborate graffiti evolved. He began creating graffiti of his name with a childhood friend from the age of 17. In 1984, he founded the Graffiti 156 All Starz collective to bring together graffiti artists' passion.
After moving to Paris in 1987, he began working as a canvas painter in a studio. He quickly made a name for himself in Parisian art circles with his canvas works, was exhibited in 1990 at Gallery 45 in Berlin and participated in the Graffiti Paris exhibition, where his work was presented permanently. His works have become among the most significant pieces auctioned in the graffiti world.
