The painting was created with a special and unusual technique. The artist does not use brushes for his art but applies the acrylic paint directly by hand to the canvas. The paint is poured very thinly onto unprimed cotton fabric and massaged into the fabric. This causes the paint to penetrate deeply into the fabric, and no brushstrokes are visible. The artist repeats this process several times. The paintings consist of up to ten layers / color strata. This creates very fine color transitions and tonal nuances that are difficult to reproduce authentically in photos.
