Description from the seller
The work titled “Liquid Dream” (2026) by the artist Alejandro Faura explores the dissolution between reality and dream through a scene where the figure of a boy, introspective and absorbed, becomes the axis of an ambiguous space. The suspended red fish act as symbolic presences linked to the unconscious, suggesting an emotional state more than a real environment, while the pictorial space behaves as a permeable surface where background and figure merge, evoking a liquid atmosphere in which everything seems to fade. Technically the painting is executed with loose, gestural brushstrokes, built from blotches and tonal transitions, with a palette dominated by earthy, muted tones over which the intense reds of the fish erupt, generating tension and a strong visual focal point, a diffuse lighting treatment that integrates the figure into the environment through glazes and transparencies, so that the painting does not describe a place but a state: a suspended moment where the visible becomes a projection of the inner world. The work is sold directly by the artist, it is an original edition, its condition is excellent, featuring a protective layer of varnish, and it will be carefully shipped rolled in a tube.
