China Carpets trace centuries of tradition and are among the most significant crafts of East Asia. They combine intricate patterns, high-quality materials, and deep cultural symbolism into unique carpets that are valued both as floor coverings and wall decorations.

Origin and History
The history of Chinese rug-knitting goes back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907 CE). Especially in western China, for example in the Ningxia region or later in Beijing, intricate carpets were created, often for the imperial court. From the 19th century onwards, China Carpets gained increasing international significance and were exported to Europe and America.
