AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

La Sera, Paolo De Luca 2025, oil on canvas painting. 40x30 cm, hand-signed.

Born in 1990 in Casarano, in the heart of Salento, Paolo grows up surrounded by art and imagination. From a young age, drawing becomes his natural language, inspired by his father: a cartoonist who instills in him a passion for images and visual stories. This early influence evolves over the years into a personal, profound search, which finds its voice mainly in painting.

Paolo specializes in oil on canvas, but his approach is polyhedral: he experiments with pencils, acrylics, and even with clay modeling, giving shape to a rich, tactile expressive universe.

His exhibition path begins to take shape in 2015 with the show Immagini e Luce in Florence, where his works dialogue with the luminous and symbolic dimension of painting. In 2018 he crosses national borders by participating in the video exhibition Artbox Project New York 1.0, bringing his artistic vision across the ocean.

In the following years, Paolo exhibits in numerous venues around Salento, reinforcing his bond with the territory and his community. In 2019 he arrives in Milan with a show at the Tempio del Futuro Perduto, an avant-garde cultural space where his works find new resonance.

In 2021 he participates in the Vittorio Sgarbi Prize in Ferrara, where one of his works is selected for the prestigious ArtNow catalog number V. The following year, in 2022, he is the protagonist of the video exhibition Maestri in Milan, with another work included in the ArtNow catalog number VI.
