XTC, Mc Dollars red Boxed, a 2026 compact sculpture in plastics and wood, edition 9/20, framed in a black boxed frame with a plastic pane, signed by hand, 27×27×6 cm, France, excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Red and yellow McDollars cornucopia in a black framed box for a wall presentation by XTC.
Misappropriation of the McDonald's cone. This is not a cardboard McDonald's cornet; it was created from plastic materials and fully painted and varnished by XTC with fake banknotes—beware of imitations! The frame is part of the artwork. It comes with a plastic glass; you can display it with or without, as shown in the first and second photos.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
The copy sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful and tracked shipment.
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has shaped his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that needed to be realized.
XTC describes himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the appropriation of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity expresses itself through the audacious staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), which he makes collide with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and even caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, mixing painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, advertising, and addictions in general.
All potential flaws or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
