Facing forward, a male figure emerges from deep red with the bearing and proportion of classical antiquity - curling hair, strong jaw, the particular stillness that separates sculpted form from living presence. A cloth drapes across the body, one arm extended outward toward the edge of the canvas. VANTA has drawn all of this from a single crimson foundation through paint removal alone, the figure surfacing from red as though reclaimed from it.
The frontal orientation makes the figure’s gaze unavoidable - it meets the viewer directly, with the composed authority of an emperor or deity rendered in stone.
