Beautiful pair of antique faience potpourri jars/urns, made in the Midi (Provence) of France, attributable to the workshops of Varages or Allemagne-en-Provence.

These pieces feature an elegant baluster form, with regular pierced openings beneath the neck, intended for the diffusion of scents.

They rest on a floral mound molded in relief, adorned with applied roses and foliage, typical of Provençal productions from the late 18th century.

Origin: Provence (Varages or Allemagne-en-Provence)

Period: Late 18th – early 19th century

Material: Faience
