The whole image of the wall represents the passage of the work from the exterior wall to the inside space of buildings. What is born on the street, in the urban and public context, is transferred inside palaces, houses or museums, completely changing environment and meaning. In this case the stretch of wall deemed most interesting is selected and cut, the one on which the street artist had carried out his external intervention. The fragment is then detached from the original street context and transformed into an autonomous object. Once the cut is made, this piece of wall can be transferred and placed inside: in houses, in palaces, in museums or other buildings. In this way the work changes environment and function, moving from the public and everyday space of the street to a private or institutional space, where it is preserved and displayed as a true artistic object. All this represents a sort of imagined reconstruction by the artist, reflecting on the process of moving the work from the urban context to the domestic or museum one.
